I love my hair (and I love India’s hair), but I am not my hair. I love clothes, but my value as a child of God is not associated with my hair, my clothes, my achievements, the awful blemish that I woke up with, my uniform of black, my awesome thrift stores finds, my ability or inability to be fully present, but our value is simply, completely in the unchanging reality that God Loves Us, Individually and Collectively.
