to love and be loved, to know and be known, to experience and engage. these are all fundamental needs in the way God has created us. As a wedding photographer for the last few years and as a twenty-something I’m continually surrounded by beautiful love stories, each unique and each beautiful in their distinctive orchestration by God. Over two weeks I stand beside two different friends, with two totally different stories, sharing two different relationships with each friend, watching their lives be forever changed by the divine plan through the holy boldness of two men.
To open ones heart, and risk ones comfort in the pursuit of another who may or may not have the similar amorous interest has proven to be beautiful in each of these two love stories. Standing beside each girl from day 1 of the relationship has been an honor as I’ve seen something that proves the loyalty, passion and love of God for His people. In the beginning there was no certainty but there was a willingness to take put oneself on the line and be persistent about the pursuit, I guess that’s what this sort of romantic interest in one another does. Having never dated a Christian before, this type of pursuit and waiting is foreign to me and honestly in my own life far from comfortable but as I’ve witnessed the power of prayer, the peaceable fruit of righteousness, the true joining of two lives together in a beautiful, fun, holy and passionately charged way, I stand in awe and appreciation to the God whom these four people have enjoyed throughout the process of their coming together in relationship.
Congratulations to two beautiful and wonderful couples who’ve allowed the Lord’s love and purposes to be fulfilled and come to fruition.
