HAPPY HAPPY HAPPIEST BIRTHDAY TO MY BFFIWWW!!!! The more I’ve gotten to know you over the last 14 years, the more I love you. For the obvious reasons of your beautiful and ridiculous humor, that can make me laugh in the midst of my hopeless tears, your words of sincere conviction regarding our hope in God and hope in His goodness for our lives, your rad fashion sense, progressing from hippie teen to chic stylish, did I mention your humor and hope? But the more I’ve gotten to know you, the more I hear your heart for the serious matters of life, of your heart, of you and Khan’s future and the hopes and fears you have, the more I love you and respect you. Cleaning with you a couple weeks ago was such a treat, yes, it was; your expressions during some of those cleaning activities still make me smile. The Lord has made you beautiful inside and out, your smiles and your looks of inquisition and concern, your hopes and love and humor and your fears and heartaches and frustration, all b.e.a.u.t.i.f.u.l.!!! You’re my bestest friend in the whole wide world and I’m over the moon blessed that you were born and for your invitation to friendship.

between misspoken lyrics, talking about stoned brothers as opposed to strong, talking as fast as we can during our times together, being able to sit in silence with each other, thinking of spanish class and the kid who kept trying to cheat off of our work, coach peas and driver’s ed, driving singing to hip hop music, dancing at clubs in Tulsa and Hollywood, sitting next to each other on the couch watching tv and painting our nails, hoping and praying that we are neighbors again one day with our men and families… you’re friendship is ‘da bomb (yes, I said bomb) 😉
