I was honored to be part of Michelle and Dave’s wedding day at the Bacara Resort here in Santa Barbara this past summer. Being a Santa Barbara Photographer, I am continually inspired by the natural beauty of Santa Barbara and the couple’s and families that are drawn to enjoy various seasons of their lives along the coast of California in Santa Barbara. Meeting Michelle and Dave last Spring at the studio who orchestrated this relationship, the studio of Fotoceilo in downtown Santa Barbara, I almost couldn’t contain my excitement as they shared their special and unique love story and their loves and enjoyments as a couple and then their plans for their Santa Barbara wedding at the Bacara Resort. Meeting for their engagement session at one of my favorite Santa Barbara beaches, I got to know this sweet couple even more and my excitement just grew and grew for their coming wedding day. The wedding day was flawless and absolutely gorgeous. Starting with the details of Michelle’s exquisite Monique Lhuillier dress to the beautiful flowers designed by Juniper Presence, the depth of love from both Dave and Michelle’s closest friends and family was felt and expressed in every way imaginable. Watching this interaction of this couple my heart melted, Dave’s tenderness and attentiveness to his wife in the midst of the excitement and business of the wedding is one of the defining memories I have of this couple, as well as Michelle’s trust and love for her husband seen so clearly in her eyes and through her tears as she watched the mother and groom dance.
I’m continually blown away at the amazing couples and families I get to photograph and work with. Being a Santa Barbara photographer in a community that facilitates beautiful celebrations of love and life, I am thankful for the personal relationships I get to develop with my amazing clients, whether it’s Wedding Photography or Family Photography, life is a journey and these seasons should be remembered and cherished.
